JEE Main 2026 Application Form; The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially opened the JEE Main 2026 registration date for Session 1 from October 31, 2025. Aspirants can now submit their application forms on the official website jeemain.nta.nic.in. The registration window will remain open until November 27, 2025 (9 PM), after which no submissions will be accepted. This year, NTA has implemented key upgrades in the registration and verification system. Additionally, the form process now includes live webcam photo capture and an Aadhaar-based auto–data fetch feature, which automatically fills candidate details like name, date of birth, gender, and address through UIDAI. These updates aim to reduce errors and improve identity verification. The JEE Main 2026 Session 1 exam is scheduled between January 21 – January 30, 2026, while Session 2 will be held from April 1 – April 10, 2026. NTA has also indicated plans to increase exam centres nationwide to ensure smoother access for candidates, including dedicated facilities for PwD/PwBD candidates.

JEE Main 2026 Mode and Pattern of Examination
JEE Main 2026 will be held in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode, except for the Drawing Test of B.Arch, which will be conducted offline on paper.
Paper 1 (B.E/B.Tech):

- Type: MCQs and Numerical Value Questions
Paper 2A (B.Arch):
- Subjects: Mathematics, Aptitude Test, Drawing Test

Each subject has 20 MCQs and 5 numerical value questions. Negative marking of -1 applies to both types of questions.
Eligibility Criteria for JEE Main 2026
- Age Limit: No age restriction. Candidates who passed Class 12 in 2024, 2025, or appearing in 2026 can apply.
- Qualifying Exam: Must have passed 10+2 or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
- Year of Passing: Candidates who passed Class 12 before 2023 are not eligible.
Language Options
JEE Main 2026 will be conducted in 13 languages – English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu. Candidates must choose their language carefully while filling the form, as it cannot be changed later.

Once the JEE Main 2026 Registration Form is released by the authorities, all the candidates will be able to fill it following the simple steps listed below. The following are the steps to fill out the JEE Main 2026 Registration Form.
Step 1: Go to the official website of NTA, www.jeemain.nta.ac.in, and search for the online registration link available.
Step 2: Now, click on the “JEE Main 2026 Registration” link displayed on the homepage.
Step 3: Registered candidates will be able to directly log in and fill out the registration form.
Step 4: If candidates are registering for the first time, they will have to register first to generate credentials.
Step 5: Required details are carefully filled in to register, after which the login ID and password are provided on a mobile number or through email.
Step 6: Candidates can log in using the details, and fill out the application form with the necessary details – Personal, communication, qualification, etc.
Step 7: Upload scanned images of photograph, signature, thumb impression, etc. as per the specifications mentioned about the format and size.
Step 8: Now the last step is to pay the registration fee through the provided payment gateways.
Step 9: A confirmation page will be generated. Take a printout of the confirmation page and submit the registration form.
